Haunted couch !

No kidding. The story, I think I have told it here, is that my parents home was haunted by my mothers ghost long after she had passed away, and that even bringing some things to my home brought a spirit of unrest with them.
Well I thought all that was over, turns out I was wrong. Yesterday we started to set up a sitting area in our basement for the coming summer, as the basement is way cooler. So I'm putting freshly washed slip covers on a couch that had been in my parents vacation home and in there other home in town ( the haunted house) when the dog starts to go nuts, he's pawing at the couch, trying to see under it, we look, nothing there ! no mouse, bug, nothing !
The dog keep this up barking whining, frantic. Finely we lure him up on the couch between us with cookies, and he stops barking.
Conclusion, I was saying to DJ that the dog felt the ghost of " dead grandma " on the couch ???? when we began to talk about her, she left ??? I sure as hell don't know, but it was strange.
This is the first time that Roux has acted like this, never has he been so wigged out .

Just when I'm sure my Mothers spirit is at long last resting in some good place something else weird happens.

Dam if the same thing did not happen monday AM, went down to do some wash, sat down to watch some TV while the clothes dried, and here comes the dog. He's pawing and whining then ramps up to a full growl right at the couch. So, OK I take the entire couch, turn it over show him the bottom, and the floor underneath, he barks like mad, growls and runs up stairs, gets on my bed and shakes.
You cant make this shit up.
This AM he will not even come in the basement not even for a cookie.
Poor dog, we plan to be down there a lot to keep cool this summer, I hope he gets over it.
I am the last person to believe in supernatural/parnormal stuff, a subscriber to the Sceptical Inquirer for years, but this is having me think that I might ask my friend the medium over to see what TF is making the old dog so nuts.
We ruled out small rodents or big bugs, there is nothing in that basement its clean and dry and its impossible for anything to get down there.
Thinking that it might be my Mother in her search for rest is a very sad thing to consider.

Yes, but at least she is near family. Most couches suffer a far worse fate at the Goodwill or worse yet, the dump.
